The Start of a New Adventure

We never intended on moving, or making a drastic change to our lives, and that's usually how these kinds of adventures begin Fourteen years ago we bought our first house. Since then its been a blur of careers and children and pets and projects and holidays and life . We were content to stay, our 'forever' home. And yet. A feeling of restlessness growing steadily, of ' maybe there's something else for us...'  . And there was. And it was beyond our wildest dreams. Along the banks of the Grand River, situated in the small, sleepy village of Lamont, we found a house that tugged at both of us immediately. Built in 1870 , it's one of Lamont's 'ladies'. The house has been neglected and needs a lot of work, and we're looking at years of renovations ahead of us. I'm starting this blog so we have a place to record our progress, as well as share the ups and downs of living in a house that's 146 years old. A new adventure awaits us
